Chris has been a professional musician and educator in the Seattle music community for nearly 30 years. Along with being a touring artist throughout most of the US and other parts of the world, Chris has come to be known and well respected as a trumpet player, bandleader, composer, arranger, producer and teacher.
After pursuing his degree in music education and performance at Central Washington University in the late 80s, he moved to Seattle to begin his career as a professional musician. Working with many well-known artists and bands, and on his own projects, throughout the 90s, he firmly established his music career.
In 2001, Chris joined Karl Denson's Tiny Universe as sideman to jazz/funk sax player extraordinaire Karl Denson.
Over the next 20 years Chris started a family and became an instructor at the iconic Seattle Drum School of Music, teaching trumpet, trombone, music production and band camps. This also led to his involvement with STYLE and other teaching-artist programs throughout the Seattle School District, which continues to this day.
